The G.O.A.T.S

What is a G.O.A.T? It's an acronym for "THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME".
This is the start of a random list of G.O.A.T.'s which will be updated from time to time.

Quarterback- Tom Brady. Close call with Joe Montana, but Super Tom gets the nod.
Candy Bar- Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. One of the great discoveries in World History occurred when two seamingly innocent people, one with a chocolate bar, one with a jar of peanut butter "accidentally" knocked into each other ("you got your chocolate in my peanut butter......."). Fate or a simple case of "it's better to be lucky than to be good?
Live Rock and Roll Band- The Grateful Dead. Never played the same show twice, you never knew what you were getting. U2, Zep and The Who (amongst many many others) were great live. Difference? They played the same "scripted" shows over and over again.
Pro Wrestling Tag Team- "Weighing in at a combined weight of 643 pounds, from the Isle of Samoa-Affa and Seika, THE WILD SAMOANS."
Acquisition of a Hechsher- I'm still tosssing around these three. Entenman's, Oreo Cookies and Hostess. Anyone growing up in the 70's and 80's knows exactly what I'm talkng about.

dabish,

I apreciate your comments, but comment to the right post!

As for the G.O.A.T Tag team, the competition was Tony atlas and Rocky Johnson, The Moon Dogs, The Strongbows, British Bulldogs and Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito.
Degeneration-X and The Four Horseman do not qualify as they had more than 2 members

No doubt, peanut butter butter cups are one of the best, but greatest ever has to go to twix.

As for hechsher, definitely oreos. As far back as I can remember Entenmans were kosher and drakes was a good enough substitute for hostess, but paskez could never quite duplicate the oreo.

Wrestling tag team would have to be Jimmy Superfly Snuka and whoever he was with that night.....ok not the best ever, but i loved it when he would take the tag and jump off that top rope onto a guy who was already (faking) unconscious.

Quarterback....will be Brett Favre after he takes the Jets to the next 3 super bowls. a boy can dream....

The Don,

You can throw Kit Kats right into that mix, however, the opure richness and texture of the Reese's ouit weighs the splendid cookie crunch and caramel of the Twix.

As for Superfly, he was always a soloist who once in a while went tag team.

Entennmans went kosher in 1981 (Indeed, according to marketing manager Steven Zamichow, quoted in the Washington Post, "Entenmann's Inc. received kosher certification in 1981 and sales of [its] baked goods 'increased substantially.' " Visits to the Entenmann's plant from a "mashgiach" or kashruth inspector, are provided by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America. The UOJC is one of several groups that maintain such a kosher inspection service, certifying foods and related products to be in compliance with Jewish dietary laws through all phases of production. The profit from these products goes, of course, to the companies that manufacture them and the stores that sell them, not to "the Jews."). It was a huge Chiddush at the time. It was the first mainstream brand that turned Kosher of my generation. As for Hostess and Drakes you cant compare the Twinkee or Cupcakes to the Sunnydoodle, although the Yoddle's were hmmmmmm good.

You make some valid points, however me and Costanza are sticking with the twix.

And I'll take a devil dog over anything that hostess can throw out there.
